Five-string electric bass

The shape of this bass was drawn from Fodera’s products, but with a bolt-on neck instead of a neck-through, as those made by the famous New York manufacturers.  The shape of the headstock is reminiscent of the Fender’s first Precision Bass.
The body and the neck are made of afrormosia or African teak, a timber rarely used by luthiers, but I was tempted to experiment with it. Applying an astonishing flamed maple for the fingerboard, I can guarantee that the sound is truly rich in harmonics with a remarkable sustain.

Five-string electric bass (30’’)

The shape is based on Fender’s Telecaster. The shorter-scale bass guitar (30’’ instead of 34’’) is around 10 cm shorter than a guitar with a traditional scale, making it easier to play the first frets and therefore suitable for children.
